Magic Milk Experiment
Are you ready to do the magic milk experiment? Let's get this started, here's how to do it.
Materials
- Dish soap
- Food coloring
- 1 1/2 cups of milk
- Cotton swabs
- Small container
- Dinner plate
Instructions
Pour about one tablespoon of dish soap into a small container.
Pour milk onto a plate.
Drip a few drops of food coloring in the center of the milk, you can ask your kids to help pick out the colors here. Leave some space in the middle so that the colors don’t touch.
Dip a cotton swab into the dish soap.
Place the cotton swab in the middle of the colors and watch what happens! Continue the activity until the plate is filled with color. Tip: Kids can take their cotton swab and “draw” or "swirl" in the colors. Eventually, the colors will mix together until the milk becomes one color.
There you go, after drawing in the colors and a few swirls, you'll get one color. The color you'll get here will depend on the food colors you used, so if you're teaching them about colors, this will be a cool activity.
