Magic Milk Experiment

  • Dish soap
  • Food coloring
  • 1 1/2 cups of milk
  • Cotton swabs
  • Small container
  • Dinner plate

Pour about one tablespoon of dish soap into a small container.

Pour milk onto a plate.

Drip a few drops of food coloring in the center of the milk. Leave some space in the middle so that the colors don’t touch.

Dip a cotton swab into the dish soap.

Place the cotton swab in the middle of the colors and watch what happens! Continue the activity until the plate is filled with color. Tip: Kids can take their cotton swab and “draw” in the colors. Eventually the colors will mix together until the milk becomes one color.
