Materials
- Fake bugs
- A play food rolling pin
- Playdough
Instructions
- Have your child roll a can of play dough out.
- Invite your child to press an assortment of fake insects into the play dough.
- Encourage your child to carefully remove the insects from the dough and observe the faux fossils that you have created.
- If you’re ready to take this up a notch, we have another cool idea to try! You could swap the regular playdough for clay that can be baked, and get your little one to use that to create these fossils. Once done, you could bake it and use individual playdough insect fossils as fridge magnets or just as a keepsake of your little one’s creations.
