Growing up, I’ve read and saw a lot of Dr. Seuss’ book from The Lorax to The Cat in the Hat which are some of his most popular works. If your kids’ a big fan of Dr. Seuss or you just want a paper plate activity, they will definitely enjoy this Cat in the Hat paper plate craft! We’ve also included the template so this should be quick and easy.

Supplies List:
- Paper plate
- Quick dry tacky glue or school glue
- Cat in the Hat Template File
- Black marker
- Scissors
How to Make Your Cat in the Hat Paper Plate Craft
Are you ready to make your Cat in the Hat paper plate craft? Here’s how you can create it.
Directions:
Print the Cat in the Hat Template file of your choosing.
If printing with cutting machine, upload the correct file to your software. Resize the images to fit one single 8 ½ by 11 page. Select to print and cut. Be aware that the SVG and EPS files are in black and white. If you choose to print in color, you will need to set those colors within your software manually.
To create the Cat in the Hat, cut the plate to resemble the shape of the head.
Then, glue the Cat’s hat and facial features on the paper plate.
Add black markings for the Cat’s fur.
To make an ear, cut a leaf shape from part of the plate you cut away. Decorate with the black marker. Glue to the paper plate.
Allow to dry completely before playing or displaying.
